The ways to Sandakan, Tawau, Semporna.

There are several ways to travel from Kota Kinabalu to the towns in east coast of Sabah, such as Sandakan, Tawau, Semporna:

To Sandakan

1. Domestic flight (45 minutes)
2. Coach (6 hours)

To Tawau

1. Domestic flight (50 minutes)
2. Coach (9 hours)

To Semporna

1. Domestic flight reach Tawau Airport, then take land road to Semporna town. (2 hours)
2. Coach (9 hours)

We do not recommend you take coach, unless your time is sufficient, or would like to enjoy the scenery along the way. There are no highway in Sabah, coach passes hills and mountains with moderate road condition.
