Description

Kudat, a three-hour drive north of Kota Kinabalu, is famous for its rich cultural heritage and blending of ethnic groups, especially the Runggus, the largest and the main ethnic group living in Kudat. The Runggus, a sub-tribe of the Kadazandusun, are the main ethnic group living in the Kudat region. They are renowned in Sabah as highly skilled artisans, who traditionally make colorful beaded necklaces from local plant seeds and clay, with motifs of ancient designs, usually signifying old fables and legends. They are also highly skilled at basketry and cloth weaving.

Located in the waters of Kudat area. This fish farm provides a unique opportunity to witness the various types of fish as you walk along the timber walkway that connects each platform, providing excellent access to see the fish up close through the clear waters. The main highlight activity here would be swimming and snorkelling with the large fish in the designated open area.

This dramatic headland is situated in the northern-most tip of BORNEO, the third largest island in the world, after Greenland and New Guinea. It is located in the Kudat Peninsula. The Pulau Kalampunian lighthouse is a reminder of treacherous coastline and past shipwrecks. On the left is the beautiful beach of Pantai Kalampunian. It's a lovely easy stroll to the flagpole, the Globe and the rocky outcrop that forms the "Tip of Borneo".
