Kudat, a three-hour drive north of Kota Kinabalu, is famous for its rich cultural heritage and blending of ethnic groups, especially the Runggus, the largest and the main ethnic group living in Kudat. The Runggus, a sub-tribe of the Kadazandusun, are the main ethnic group living in the Kudat region. They are renowned in Sabah as highly skilled artisans, who traditionally make colorful beaded necklaces from local plant seeds and clay, with motifs of ancient designs, usually signifying old fables and legends. They are also highly skilled at basketry and cloth weaving.
Gombizau Honey Bee Farm is located in Matunggong, a sub-district 43 kilometers south of Kudat town, where one of the economical activities for the village community is honey bee farming. There are over a hundred bee cages in the bee farm. Here, visitors will be able to observe how a bee farm is managed. They will often get a taste of raw honey straight from the honeycomb.
Sumangkap village which is famous for its gong making cottage industry. The gong is the most important Rungus musical instrument which is played during festivities and grand occasions such as weddings. The gongs that are sold in Kampung Sumangkap vary in sizes—visitors can expect to find tiny souvenirs ones with different shapes and unique designs as well as large ones that can reach up to 2 meters wide in diameter. Here, visitors will also have the opportunity to witness the method of gong making by the professional gong makers in the village.
The Bavaggazo longhouses also known as “Binatang”, are unique attractions for visitors as they were planned and developed as a cultural centerpiece by the Runggus community at Kampong Bavaggazzo as a means to display and conserve their cultural heritage while engaging in an economically sustainable venture. Guests can experiencing life in a longhouse while buy their handicrafts.
This dramatic headland is situated in the northern-most tip of BORNEO, the third largest island in the world, after Greenland and New Guinea. It is located in the Kudat Peninsula. The Pulau Kalampunian lighthouse is a reminder of treacherous coastline and past shipwrecks. On the left is the beautiful beach of Pantai Kalampunian. It's a lovely easy stroll to the flagpole, the Globe and the rocky outcrop that forms the "Tip of Borneo".

Check out and visit to Honey Bee Farm, try out the raw honey straight from the comb.
Visit to Gong Making Village.
Depart to Tuaran, drop for sunset viewing at Eco Farm.
Take dinner at Eco Farm (own expenses).
Transfer back to city.
