Description

A jewel-like tiny island in the Sulu Sea, a 1.5 hour boat rides north of  Sandakan; Lankayan has been declared part of an immense Marine  Protected Area to adopt the eco-tourism concept. Unpopulated and covered  by thick tropical island vegetation on its topside, this peaceful, untouched  little bit of paradise is ringed by an endless pure white sandy beach, offering  simply elegant and exquisite accommodation in all 23 wooden, roomy and  perfectly appointed seafront chalets. 

While the ideal destination for those who search for tranquility and  relaxation in a virgin natural setting and for families with children, Lankayan  Island is also becoming one of the hottest diving destinations on the map  today: its dive sites - all just a few minutes away - boasting unbelievably  colorful macro, fauna, fascinating wrecks and in season from March to May,  regular sightings of gigantic and harmless whale sharks, the "dream date "  of every diver in the world. 

Situated within the Sea Turtle Corridor, Lankayan Island is also a nesting  place and foraging ground for sea turtles; most commonly Green and  Hawksbill Turtle. Therefore, guests will have a chance to see turtles nesting  as well as new hatchlings of baby turtles released to the sea especially in  season from June to September.

** The resort have 40 armed personnels based on the resort and doing the same rotation rounds – 24 hours.

 

Boat Schedule:

  • PSR Jetty to Lankayan Island - 10:00 am
    - Please book flights that arrive Sandakan at 9:00 am
     
  • Lankayan Island to PSR Jetty - 7:00 am
    - Please book flights that are after 11:00 am

This tour rate is vacation rate (non-divers rate), should you participate in diving:

  • 3 daily boat dives, except arrival & departure day.
  • Unlimited house reef dive in front of LANKAYAN Dive Centre, this is an unguided dive & must be accompanied by buddy.
  • Boat, tanks, weight and weight belts are provided.


*For 3D2N Package will need a minimum of 4 adults, a fuel surcharge of MYR 864 per booking will be imposed if the booking does not meet the requirement.

    Recommend to take the earlist domestic flight from Kota Kinabalu to Sandakan.

    As soon as you arrive Sandakan, our representative will be at the airport to meet/transfer you to Sandakan PSR Jetty by bus/van (approx. 35 minutes).

    Leave Sandakan PSR Jetty for Lankayan Island by boat.

  • 4

    Boat will take approximately 1 hour 45 minutes depending on the sea/weather condition that day.

Warm Remind

  • Price quoted is not included snorkeling or diving, and related equipments’ fee.
  • Each chalet will charged on 2 adults price rate basis.
  • Single/Solo traveler is subjected to Single Supplement Charge (additional 30% from above rate) for own chalet.
  • Pregnant women, infant (24 months and below) and elderly (80 years old and above) are not allowed by boat to Lankayan Island.
  • Please notify us upon booking if you wish to take Diving Package.
  • To book Diver Package, one must be a certified / licensed diver.
  • Combining Diver Package and Vacation Package is not allowed.
  • Check-in time to Chalet: 1 pm.
  • Strictly no outside Food & Drinks allowed into the Resort.
  • 2 armed guards to escort during the boat journey to and from island.
  • January and February will be closed due to monsoon season.
  • 3G mobile connection is available at restaurant area and rely on weather condition.
  • Boat snorkeling is not available until further notice.

Pay on travelling day

No advance payment is required, simply pay cash in Ringgit-Malaysia to tour guide. However, you still need pay in full for any cancellation made 1 day prior to tour date.

  • Tour location / Depart from: Sandakan . To reach Sandakan city, you have to take a domestic flight or bus express from Kota Kinabalu or Sandakan. There are direct flights from Kuala Lumpur International Airport too.

  • Tour Type: Sit-In-Coach basis (SIC). This tour is not private tour, you will share the trip with other guests come from different countries. Please notify us upon booking if you are looking for private tour, surcharge might be applied.

  • Pickup Service:  Pickup service will be provided from the hotel/hostel/lodge that you are staying. Please wait at lobby while the tour guide will find you when he/she arrive.
