Description
It is the only rail transport system operating on the island of Borneo and was built in the 1890s by the colonial British North Borneo Company. The railway was built primarily to transport tobacco to the port at Kota Kinabalu - then known as Jesselton.
A down memory lane train ride coupled with a nostalgic Heritage Walking tour to the Tamu (wet and dry market) or Papar Centre Market and the old streets with a Professional Heritage tourist guide.
