The biggest attraction in Sabah for tourist all around the world - Mount Kinabalu. It’s the highest peak in south-east Asia, measuring 4,095.2 m high. Some say, the Mount Kinabalu is one of the easiest mountain to climb, but don’t underestimate the challenges that you’ll face on the Summit Trail.
You reach the final destination at Low’s peak. As you wait in the cold, dawn gradually creeps over the horizon, illuminating the darkness with the light of a new day.
Watching sunrise at the top has been described by travelers everywhere as a life -enriching experience In clear weather, you can almost see all of Sabah spread out below. From this vantage point, you will also see a dramatic drop more than 1,000 m drop - Low’s Gully. A chasm stretching 16 km. in length, it separates the summit plateau into the western and eastern plateau.
The base at the low peak is well-equipped with facilities. Advance reservation (3 ~ 6 months prior) are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Day 1: Poring Hot Spring
(Run of House Dorm Room)
Situated in lowland rainforest, contrasting with the montane and submontane rainforest of Kinabalu Park, Poring is well know for its natural hot spring bath. Poring Hot Spring offer comfortable stay for visitors from budget hostel to beautiful lodges and luxurious villas. The accommodation units have all the necessary facilities needed. There is a restaurant (Rainforest Restaurant) in Poring serve Western Asian cuisine and local delicacies.

Located in the State of Sabah Borneo, Kinabalu Park is cradled in the arms of lush luminescent green, surrounding the gentle yet magnificent beauty of Mount Kinabalu. The accommodation in the park range from private suites to luxury lodges, equipped with room amenities. Kindly note that for staying at Kinabalu Park Accommodation is subject to a surcharge of MYR 150 per person (Not inclusive in the package price) .
**Starting from 2025 , the surcharge will be MYR 180 per person for upgrade to Kinabalu Park Accommodation.
Day 2: Laban Rata Resthouse
(Private Room 1,2,3 and Unisex Shared Dormitory)
Laban Rata Resthouse (3272 meters above sea level) is the biggest mountain hut among the others, and also where the restaurant and grocery shop located at. Here is the final pitstop before ascending to the summit of Low’s Peak, providing climbers with comfortable lodgings and hot meals. There are four types of room available here, which is Private Room 1, Private Room 2, Private Room 3, and non-heated unisex dormitory rooms. Laban Rata’s private rooms are all equipped with en-suite bathroom, but NO heated shower, and room heater due to scheduled and limited power supply. Non-Heated Dormitory bunk bedrooms come with common bathrooms and toilets, without any heated shower or room heater. Pillows and blankets are provided.

Porter Fee (Optional)
Porter service is fully optional depends on individual. Due to number of porters are reducing, your mountain guide might also act as your porter (depends on the availability of porter during the actual day).

-Porters will measure the weight of backpacks in front of climbers.
-Payments will be made directly to the porter by cash, minimum weight is 10 Kgs.
-Porters will not trek along with you, so keep all the necessities that you need with you.
-Things can get wet on the mountain, so pack your belongings in big plastic bag/use a backpack rain cover to protect your climbing gear.
-A porter would normally carry up to 10kg at MYR13-MYR16 per kg. Simply ask for porter service on climbing day upon registration.
-You may leave the luggage at Kinabalu Park, there will be a charge at MYR 15 per bag per night.
-No age limit for kid to join, however, it is recommended at least 16 years old.
-Climbers below 16 years old are considered as CHILD and compulsory to have a private mountain guide (Maximum shared by 2 children / Guide). Mountain Guide Fee – MYR 350/Guide.

Meet our driver at hotel lobby / airport and proceed with 2 hours drive to Kinabalu Park.

- Guests must advise any disability requiring special attention or dietary request at the time the reservation is made. We will do our best to accommodate the special needs request, but is not responsible in the event it is unable to do so nor responsible for any denial of services by, hotels, restaurants, or other independent suppliers.
- SPECIAL NOTE: It is recommended that all climbers should have themselves medically checked before attempting any mountain climb. If you have a history of suffering from the following aliment, it is highly recommended that you should refrain from climbing - Hypertension, Diabetes, Palpitation, Arthritis, Heart Disease, Severe Anemia, Peptic Ulcers, Epileptic Fits, Obesity (Overweight), Chronic Asthma, Muscular Cramps, Hepatitis (Jaundice); or any other disease which may hamper the climber.
- Climbers allowed hike to mountain hut on day 2 even raining; Sabah Park has the right to close the gate to summit on day 3 due to safety reason. There will be no refund / postpone in this case.

Register at Kinabalu Park Headquater. Please present original IDENTITY CARD / PASSPORT for verification.

Wake up and have supper at Laban Rata restaurant (Supper time: 2:00am - 3:30am).

Commence to the summit by torchlight. There are ladders, hand railings and ropes to help you over the steeper parts. You reach the final destination at Low’s peak, the summit of Borneo at 4,095.2m.

Witness the beautiful sunrise from the summit. Clouds usually begin to form. These swirling clouds could obstruct visibility.

Begin to descend and back to Laban Rata. (latest by 6:30am).

Arrive at Laban Rata restaurant for breakfast (Breakfast time: 7:30am - 10:30am).

Reach Timpohon Gate, transfer to Kinabalu Park’s HQ and collect your certificate.
